The spirit of the season burned brightly when observers ushered in the Festival of Lights drawing the young and the young-at-heart to Brighton Beach in celebration of Hanukkah.
Mom, dad and the kids joined like-minded revelers at the intersection of Brighton 11th Street and Brighton Beach Avenue, where they ignited festivities by illuminating a giant Menorah.
The outdoor spectacle was presented by Friends of Eastern Europe Synagogue.
